Project Details

The Baiturrahman Mosque Development Project is designed to establish a permanent Islamic center that will serve as a place of worship, education, and community engagement for Muslims in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The project focuses on acquiring a suitable property and transforming it into a functional mosque that can support the growing needs of the community.

The project focuses on acquiring a suitable property, preferably a former church building or worship-zoned property, in a strategic location within the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. Choosing a property that already has approved zoning for religious use will help speed up development and reduce administrative challenges.

Once the property is secured, it will be renovated into a mosque with the following facilities:

• Main prayer hall
• Women’s prayer area
• Quran and education classrooms
• Multipurpose community hall
• Administrative office
• Ablution and restroom facilities
• Parking area
• Outdoor gathering space

This project is intended to create a sustainable Islamic center that can support religious services, youth programs, social activities, and community outreach for many years to come.

Total target fund: USD 1,200,000

Budget Breakdown

• Old Church Acquisition (Asking Price) — USD 725,000
• Property Contingency & Closing Costs — USD 275,000
• Renovation & Mosque Conversion — USD 200,000
• Total target fund — USD 1,200,000

Funding Priority
The highest priority of this project is the acquisition of land or an existing church property suitable for conversion into a mosque. This is a crucial requirement to ensure the availability of a strategic and appropriate location for the development of the mosque project.

Source of Funding
This project will be funded through individual donations, waqf, charitable grants, corporate sponsorships, and other lawful, halal, and non-binding contributions.
