About this campaign
Ramadan is a month of mercy and generosity, yet for many families in our area it is also a month of worry about how to put food on the table. Rising grocery prices have hit students, new immigrants, and single-parent households especially hard, and many of them are our own neighbors.
Through the Ramadan Food Drive, IAMA volunteers pack and deliver grocery boxes with rice, oil, dates, lentils, flour, and fresh produce, enough to feed a family of five for two weeks. We also host free community iftars at the masjid every weekend so no one has to break their fast alone.
A gift of $50 provides one family grocery box, and $150 sponsors iftar for thirty fasting guests. The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever provides iftar for a fasting person earns the same reward as them, without decreasing their reward at all. Please give generously and share this campaign with your friends and family.
